Africa-Press – Angola. Organizational aspects regarding the implementation of the Angolan Football League, still without a date, were analyzed (Monday), in Luanda, by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MINJUD) and the National Association of Angolan Football Clubs (ANCAF).

Held behind closed doors, at the facilities of the sports governing body, at the end of the meeting, the minister, Rui Falcão, stated that he had received information on the steps taken and all other actions, to achieve the purpose, which will give a more professional character the main football competition in the country.

He added that, as it is the great responsibility of the sport’s agents, the Ministry provides its institutional support and must listen to all parties involved in the process.

For this reason, the position holder, who encouraged the same work team, informed that meetings were also planned with the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), other institutions and individuals.

Likewise, the vice-president of ANCAF, João Lusevikueno, said that it was a very useful meeting, as they were able to convey all the contours and actions of the future League and the responsibilities of the parties.

Currently, according to the director, a series of issues are finalized that will allow the Angolan Football League to be implemented, as is the desire of everyone, who is committed to development.

In addition to Rui Falcão, the meeting also included the Secretary of State for Sport, Teresa Ulundo, the National Director of Sport, Nicolau Daniel, while from ANCAF, its president, Alves Simões.

As for the League, which could replace the current National Championship of the first division (Girabola), in the first edition, the event will also be organized by the two institutions (ANCAF and FAF).

Claimed by several players in the sport for more than 10 years, the objective is to start with a club model, similar to that practiced until now, so that in future editions all competitors can be in a position to respond to the demands of a League..

ANCAF, the next organizer of the national football competition, was created on October 6, 2021, during an Assembly held in Luanda, led by Alves Simões, after elections.
