The G20 High-Level Meeting, which took place from 29 to 31 October this year, in Brazil, approved the first G20 Declaration for Disaster Risk Reduction.According to information, the document is the result of the work of this meeting, which highlights the role of local communities, women, young people, indigenous peoples and people with disabilities in the creation and implementation of DRR strategies.
The “Belém RRD G20 Declaration” demands a review of the current economic model, promoting energy transition and zero deforestation policies to mitigate the impacts of the climate crisis”.
Angola participated in the event with a delegation that included the Interior, Environment and Territorial Administration sectors.
