The president of the Organizing Committee, Mauro Ananias, revealed that in this edition, which will award the best of last year, the range of categories has been expanded.
As an example, he highlighted the categories of best municipality in the province of Luanda and those of best editor and page editor, the last two referring to the press (newspapers).
“From a survey we carried out, we found that these two journalism professionals, despite the great role they play in the newspaper’s production process, had never been selected for any award, which is why we decided, in this edition, to create these categories, as way of valuing the work they do”, he stressed.
Jornal de Angola, the main title of Edições Novembro, competes in these two categories with two professionals, namely journalist and editor Sérgio Chivaca and page editor Ireneu Caldeira.
