Africa-Press – Angola. PepsiCo, the North American giant in the area of ​​beverages and food, is returning to Angola, as of Friday, July 1st, taking into account that the Pepsi, 7up and Mirinda brands begin to be produced, bottled and exclusively distributed by Castel Angola.

PepsiCo now joins the portfolio of brands managed by Castel Angola. PepsiCo, the world leader in fast-moving consumer goods, sells products consumed by more than a billion people a day in more than 200 countries around the world.

PepsiCo has a portfolio of convenient food and beverages that include Pepsi-Cola, Mirinda, 7up, Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Soda Stream, Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos, Quaker and more. Since 1994, Castel Angola operates and is the largest beverage producer in Angola.

Castel Angola is the only company with 10 factories across the country and directly employs close to eight thousand workers. Castel Angola has a portfolio of renowned beverages, such as Cuca, Nocal, Eka, Ngola, Doppel and 33 Export (alcoholic), the Top, Sumol and Compal soft drinks and the energetic Drena and XXL and Álcool-Mix (Booster).

The partnership between PepsiCo and Castel Angola is part of the strategy of expanding and accelerating the growth of the North American’s business worldwide, with the sole purpose, according to the Angolan company, “to satisfy consumers and customers, through innovative products and quality”.

In a note, Martin Charles, PepsiCo’s Director of Development, underlined that “we are constantly expanding into promising markets and returning to Angola is one of the brand’s great bets”, with the full awareness that “this bet (in Angola) will again be well accepted by consumers”.
