Africa-Press – Angola. The Ministry of Finance (MINFIN) on Wednesday, in Luanda, guaranteed that the salaries of all Angolan public servants have already been paid, a measure that is part of the National Treasury’s financial planning.
In a statement, the said governmental department also informs that the payment of the last installment of the 13th Salary (bonus) has been completed, under Decree-Law No. 10/94 of June 24 and Presidential Decree No. 264/17 of July 4.
Therefore, MINFIN takes the opportunity to wish all citizens happy holidays and a prosperous new year and ensured that it remains available to clarify any questions and recommends consulting its official channels to obtain reliable and up-to-date information.
Recent data from the Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security (MAPTSS) indicates that the number of public employees in 2024 grew to 426,632, a 4.5% increase compared to the previous year (2023), which represents the largest increase in recent years, resulting from the regularization of contractual relationships.
Of the mentioned number, which represents approximately 3.4% of the total employed Angolan population, nearly 56.5% of Angolan public employees are men, an imbalance that reveals the need to promote policies that strengthen gender equality.
