Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rui Miguêns de Oliveira, ordered the suspension of licensing for the import of products such as wheat flour, corn flour (fuba), as well as refined sunflower, palm and soybean oils.

The measure, contained in a service order dated April 30, also includes school and professional gowns, uniforms, including those for military and police use, confectionery products, plasterboard panels and hospital consumables.

The decision is part of the promotion and significant increase in the domestic supply of consumer goods, with a consequent gradual reduction in imports and diversification of exports, as established by Presidential Decree No. 213/23, of October 30, which approved the Legal Regime for Incentives to National Production.

The minister instructs the staff assigned to the licensing service of the National Directorate of Commerce to strictly observe compliance with the provisions of the document, “under penalty of the application of disciplinary and criminal sanctions that are deemed appropriate”.

Any doubts and omissions resulting from the interpretation and application of the service order are resolved by the Minister of Industry and Commerce.
