The deputy governor of Cunene for the Technical and Infrastructures sector, Faustino Cortez, urged, Tuesday (8), the populations of the region to flock to the Public Service Desk (BUAP), to update the register unofficial election, within the framework of the general elections, scheduled for next August.
Speaking at the event that marked International Women’s Day, Faustino Cortez considered it essential that women mobilize those closest to them in this process.
He recalled that the process ends on the 31st of this month, having appealed to citizens over 18 years of age, who have not yet registered, to do so as soon as possible. Deputy Governor Faustino Cortez recognized the commitment of women in the fight for equal opportunities and in the fight against discrimination.
Despite the difficulties, he added, the Angolan woman has been able to face with courage and determination the multiple roles she plays in society.
In his speech, the deputy governor stated that the Angolan Executive has been implementing programs aimed at gender equity, in recognition of women’s capacities to integrate in various areas .
