Africa-Press – Angola. Justice bodies must pay particular attention to vandalism, destruction and theft of public property, a new type of crime that tends to spread, appealed Monday to the deputy governor of Huíla province, Maria João Chipalavela.
Maria João Chipalavela, made this statement at the opening of the Legality Week, in the southern judicial region, which runs from the 24th to the 28th of the current month, under the motto, “The Public Ministry in defense of the interest and fundamental rights of citizens in justice administrative”.
Activity included in the commemorations of the 44th anniversary of the institutionalization of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), to be marked on the 27th of the current month, with the holding of several lectures on burning legal matters.
He stated that the expectation of the provincial government is to be able to act in relation to these cases with greater celerity and rigor, as a way of inhibiting the criminals.
He detailed that the current challenges impose that justice is increasingly swift, effective, insofar as an efficient Justice translates the materialization of certainty and legal certainty.
“In this way we will lead to the moralization of society, the rescue of moral values, the recovery of the coercive repatriation of illicitly embezzled capital, the fight against economic crimes, which in a certain way contribute fundamentally to the creation of a business environment and foreign private investment” , he underlined.
On the occasion, the sub-prosecutor of the Republic in exercise of the province, Djamila de Abreu, stressed that in the scope of administrative justice what is at stake is the affirmation of the Democratic State.
He admitted that there is a need for speed in investigations, under penalty of being ineffective, calling for intransigence in the fight against crime and in the protection of the public interest, so that the work is not useless.
According to the prosecutor, within the limits established by the constitution and the law, the MP will do everything for an effective administration of justice, within the scope of satisfying public interests, with the expression of a rule of law.
