Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Luanda, Manuel Homem, appealed, this Sunday in Viana, to men over 45 years of age to take the prostate cancer test, taking into account some resistance regarding the diagnosis.

Manuel Homem was speaking on the sidelines of a football match between teams from the Provincial Government of Luanda (GPL) and the municipal administration of Viana, part of the November Blue campaign.

Regarding the massification of sport, the government official stated that the development of community sport is a commitment of GPL, as he believes there are conditions for promotion.

He mentioned that an intermunicipal championship is being prepared in the province of Luanda for next year, an initiative that aims to give a boost to community sport.

On the other hand, he appealed to residents to cultivate the habit of physical exercise, as it is essential for health and increased productivity.

The administrator of Viana, Demétrio de Sepulveda, appealed to residents to carry out the test, looking for a specialist, not just waiting for November.

Alongside the game, which ended in a 1-1 draw, there was a health fair where communities were assisted in pediatric, stomatology, traumatology consultations and reading rapid tests for malaria and HIV/AIDS.

Prostate cancer is a malignant tumor that affects men, with the peculiarity of evolving silently. It arises due to an anomaly in the glandular cells.
