Governor inaugurates new PIIM infrastructure in Léua

Africa-Press – Angola. Two social infrastructures built with funds from the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) were inaugurated this Saturday in the municipality of Léua, Moxico province, by the provincial governor, Ernesto Muangala.

This is the Communal Administration of Liangongo which benefited from a requalification, as well as a school with seven classrooms built and equipped in that region, which is 32 kilometers south of the municipal town of Léua.

The first infrastructure cost more than 38 million and 666 thousand kwanzas, while the school unit, with the capacity to accommodate 600 students, in two shifts, is estimated at 180 million and 765 thousand kwanzas.

Despite this, the region lacks more classrooms to accommodate more than two thousand children who are outside the education system.

After the inaugurations, Governor Ernesto Muangala reiterated that the Executive will continue to build more social infrastructure, predominantly schools and health units, with a view to improving the quality of life in communities.

In the locality, the official also provided school materials, inputs and inputs to farmers, as well as motorcycles to traditional entities.
