Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Cuando Cubango, José Martins, yesterday dismissed the municipal administrators of Calai and Rivungo, namely Tiago Lussati Nunda and Abílio Jornal Sassongo.
The assistant administrator for the Economic and Financial Area of Cuito Cuanavale, Melastona Canona da Silva, the provincial directors of Health, Lucas Mirko Macai, of Agriculture, António Vicente Pereira, and the general director of Hospital Sanatório do Cuando were also exonerated. According to a dispatch from the provincial governor to which Jornal de Angola had access, José Martins appointed Adélia Muambenu Samuel to the position of municipal administrator of Calai, while for Rivungo it was João Wilson Tchimbinde and Victória Cacuhu as assistant administrator for the Economic Area and Finance of Cuito Cuanavale.
José Martins also appointed Rafael António Samba as director of the Provincial Office for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, João Chihinga as director of the Provincial Health Office, Tiago Lussati Nunda as head of the Health Inspection Department, and Lucas Mateus Mirko Macai, to the position of general director of Hospital Sanatorio do Cuando Cubango.
In the same dispatch, he also appointed 49 new heads of the different departments of the Government of Cuando Cubango, with emphasis on the Area of Budget Management and Accounting, Logistics and Assets, Public Relations and Protocol, Public Procurement, Legal Advice and Litigation, Career Management and Technical Training.
The nominees also include the heads of the departments of Studies and Statistics, Social Communication, Public Health, Official Electoral Registration and Military Census, Mineral Resources, Public Works, Former Combatants, Assistance and Socio-economic Reintegration.
The newly appointed will be sworn at the amphitheater of the Provincial Government of Cuando Cubango.
