Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Cuando Cubango promised to help solve the problems that affect public media agencies.

José Martins, who was speaking to the press at the end of the visit he paid, on Monday, to some bodies supporting the Provincial Government, to learn about its operation, made it known that the construction and equipping of the Television Production Center Public Works of Angola (TPA), in Cuando Cubango, will be concluded with values ​​from the oil bonus fund.

He added that, at the moment, only waiting for the quotas that fit the region, so that the work can begin.

“Works for the completion of the TPA Production Center may start in the first half of this month, taking into account that we have already received a favorable opinion on the process, from the National Directorate of Public Investments of the Ministry of Finance”, he said.

According to the official, the building of Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA) in Cuando Cubango will also be rehabilitated, with oil bonus values, pending the conclusion of some administrative procedures, so that the contractor can receive payments for the start of the project.

He informed that regarding the expansion of the RNA and TPA signals at the level of the nine municipalities of Cuando Cubango, the Government will advocate with the Ministry responsible for the installation of the necessary equipment.

As for Edições Novembro EP, owner of Jornal de Angola and other titles, José Martins assured that the Provincial Government is looking for a well located space, so that the aforementioned company can erect its building.

According to José Martins, during the visit of the PCA of Edições Novembro EP, Drumond Jaime, in June of this year, to the province of Cuando Cubango, it was agreed that the Provincial Government would give a space for the company to erect its building, taking into account that it works in borrowed facilities.

For the Angola Press Agency (Angop), the official said that everything is being done so that the aforementioned media body can also benefit from a space to build its building, although there is still no statement from the management of the same company.

José Martins guaranteed that, in addition to infrastructure, the Provincial Government will provide the purchase of work instruments for professionals in the Media, from voice recorders, cameras, film cameras, tablets, laptops and desktop computers, as well as as all-terrain vehicles, so that the most remote areas of the province are reached, so that Angola and the world know what is happening in Cuando Cubango.

“The problems that affect the good performance of the media and professionals, especially the most outstanding, will be resolved in a phased way, so that they can carry out their activities with greater dignity and speed”, he concluded.
