Governor notes rehabilitation work on the Cacongo/Dinge section

Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Cabinda, Mara Quiosa, found that in the municipality of Cacongo, about 46 kilometers north of the city, work is underway to rehabilitate the section of about 50 kilometres, which runs from Vila de Lândana to the municipality of Dinge.

The work, which started this month, has already reached one kilometer and has a deadline of 120 days, to be carried out by the civil construction company, Mota/Engil, whose aim is to improve road safety and give relief to motorists who complain about the section degradation.

At the end of the visit, on Friday, the governor, Mara Quiosa, said that the works underway aim to address the concerns that most disturb the population. ́ ́This work will provide improvements and greater safety in road traffic ́ ́, she pointed out.

The said section is connected to the EN-100, which departs from the main municipality of Cabinda to the commune of Miconje/Belize, within a radius of around 295 kilometers of road.

The definitive intervention on the EN-100 (Cabinda/Miconje-Belize), which has been degraded for some years, is seen as a structuring project of great economic and social importance for the province.

Mara Quiosa also visited the ravine in progress on the coast of Vila de Lândana/Cacongo, caused by the forces of the sea in times of calemas.

The director of the work, from the company Mota Engil, Vagner Custódio, said that, after the palliative work to stop the ravine’s advance, a definitive intervention is now being carried out to stop it.

́ ́We have registered an evolution in the ongoing work started more than a week ago ́ ́, he guaranteed.
