Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Cuanza Sul, Job Capapinha, this Friday, in the municipality of Quibala, encouraged farmers in the province to focus on increasing production, with a view to improving family income and mitigating hunger in the region.
Job Capapinha, who was speaking at the opening of the 7th edition of the Feira do Campo, which takes place at the Logistics and Distribution Center (CLOD) in the city of Quibala, said that the province of Cuanza Sul has agricultural potential to supply the national market.
“Kwanza Sul has fertile land, water and men capable of producing and combating poverty, so peasant families must take advantage of this opportunity to produce more and more”, he stressed.
In turn, the director of the Cabinet for Integrated Economic Development of Cuanza Sul, Carlos Henriques, considered the Feira do Campo a space for business and promotion of national production.
“With the holding of the fair, farmers have the opportunity to exchange experiences and create partnerships to leverage national production,” he added.
Lasting three days, the event takes place under the motto “More production, more enlightenment and more national income” and has the participation of 235 exhibitors from the 12 municipalities of the province.
As part of a promotion by the Government of the Province of Cuanza Sul, the Feira do Campo aims to encourage the sale of products to large urban centres, bring together producers and promote sales and the exchange of experience.
