Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Huambo province reaffirmed, on Saturday, a greater collaboration and inter-aid with the traditional authorities, in order to avoid, in the communities, the vandalization of public assets, with emphasis on the theft of cables from lighting posts.

Lotti Nolika, who was speaking to the press, on the sidelines of the ceremony to hand over a vehicle to the king of Hu-ambo, stressed that these entities play a leading role in society, as they are in permanent contact with the populations in the areas they are located.

“We will continue to intensify our collaboration, increasing inter-aid, in the sense of preserving public goods. It is the sobas who best know the citizens of their villages, so they should pass on the message of taking care of these means”, he highlighted.

The delivery of the vehicle, said the governor, follows a concern expressed by the King of Huambo, Artur Moço “IV Mbeu”, to the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, during his visit to this province, on the occasion of the opening of the Judicial Year.

The action, he guaranteed, will be extended, in stages, to all the kingdoms of the province according to possibilities, to allow the traditional authorities to carry out their activities without major constraints.

The King of Huambo, Artur Moço “IV Mbeu”, welcomed the gesture of the President of the Republic, assuring that the vehicle is an asset in working with the communities.
