Africa-Press – Angola. Gross credit to the non-financial sector amounted to AOA 4.49 billion in December 2022, with a reduction of Kz 199.24 billion (4.15%) compared to the same period last year.

According to data published by the Department of Statistics of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), of the total credit granted by banking financial institutions, 92.42% represents the indebtedness of the private sector (private companies and individuals) .

Another 7.58% of the total indebtedness went to the public sector, that is, public administration and public companies.

The debt of the non-financial public sector was AOA 348.29 billion, of which 82.02% by public administration and 17.98% by public companies.

Compared to the same period last year, the BNA observes a reduction of 75.67 billion kwanzas (17.85%).

Private sector debt also dropped by AOA 124.41 billion (2.85%) from AOA 4.37 billion in December 2021 to AOA 4.25 billion in December 2022.

Of the total, the indebtedness of non-financial private companies was 3.32 billion kwanzas, with a reduction of 208.70 billion kwanzas (5.91%), while that of individuals corresponded to 923.54 billion, minus 19 .04%.

In the real sector, allocated gross credit to the non-financial sector amounted to AOA 1.14 billion, representing 24.63% of total banking sector credit.

Gross credit granted under BNA Notices to promote the royal sector totaled AOA 691.45 billion, corresponding to 60.65% of total credit to the royal sector.

By sector of activity, credits were granted to the manufacturing industry, mining, agriculture, animal production, hunting, forestry and fishing.
