Africa-Press – Angola. The National Senior Men’s Handball Pre-Team was called up for the Angola 50 Years International Tournament, from October 29th to November 1st. Coach Filipe Cruz has selected twenty-four players, eighteen of whom will play in Angola and six abroad.
The 1st of August tournament features nine players, five from Interclube and four from Petro de Luanda, with preparations beginning on the 21st.
The competition, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Angola’s independence, to be celebrated on November 11th, will take place at the Kilamba pavilion. The teams from Morocco (4th place in the last African Championship), the Republic of Angola (13th), and Morocco (7th) will participate.The Luanda event also serves as the starting point for the African Championships in January 2026 in Kigali, Rwanda, where the Angolans aim to improve on their 8th place.
