Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, recommended this Tuesday, in Luanda, to the members of the diplomatic missions to be guided by professionalism and love for the homeland, “always bearing in mind the interests of Angola”.

The Head of State was speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the Angolan ambassador to France, Guilhermina Contreiras da Costa Prata, and the director general of the External Intelligence Service (SIE), Matias Bertino Matondo, who were appointed on 20 January .

According to João Lourenço, both functions, being similar, are focused on defending the country’s interests beyond its borders.

“By choosing the entities present here, we are convinced that they will fulfill this role, with professionalism and love for the country, always bearing in mind the interests of Angola”, said the President of the Republic.

João Lourenço wished the director general of the External Intelligence Service (SIE), Matias Bertino Matondo, and the Angolan ambassador to France, Guilhermina Contreiras da Costa Prata, who has already been a member of the National Assembly, success in their duties. , Minister of Justice and Vice President of the Constitutional Court.

Speaking to the press at the end of the ceremony, Ambassador Guilhermina Prata highlighted the strengthening of cooperation relations, which have existed for 46 years, as a priority.
