Africa-Press – Angola. The head of state, João Lourenço, left Seoul, Republic of Korea, this Tuesday, after completing a 48-hour official visit, with a view to strengthening cooperation.
According to a press release from the Press Secretariat, the President of the Republic is destined for the United States of America.
In the South Korean capital, João Lourenço held a private meeting with his Korean counterpart, Yoon Suk-Yeol, and led the Angolan delegation in the official talks between the two countries.
He witnessed the signing of four Memorandums of Understanding, linked to the sectors of trade, health, public order and diplomacy to strengthen the bilateral relationship.
It should also be noted that João Lourenço held a courtesy meeting with the president of the National Assembly, Kim Jin-Pyo, as well as speaking at the opening of the Angola-Korea Business Forum.
The President of the Republic received and spoke to several Angolan students in South Korea and laid a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier at the Seoul National Cemetery.

On the other hand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, announced that the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, invited his South Korean counterpart, Yoon Suk-Yeol, to visit Angola, and that he has already been accepted.
As a summary, the head of Angolan diplomacy said that with the presidential visit there is more ambition to cooperate on the part of the two countries.
He explained that the two leaders committed to strengthening the relationship with more actions in favor of solidifying it
He said that the essential axes of cooperation were put back on track and will now move forward with more strength.
“The relationship in the fields of technology, industry and training was reviewed, especially in the latter”, he said.
I emphasize that the Republic of Korea will further encourage training, through the future advanced technology center, under construction in the country’s capital.
He made it known that the two Heads of State were unanimous in recognizing the need to relaunch the cooperation mechanisms, namely the holding of the Joint Commission, which will take place later this year.
