Africa-Press – Angola. The Head of State, João Lourenço, visited, this Sunday, the patients and the clinical staff of the Dom Alexandre do Nascimento Hospital Complex for Cardio-Pulmonary Diseases, in Luanda.
João Lourenço interacted with patients in the areas of cardiology, pulmonology, neurosurgery, as well as with the medical staff.
On the occasion, the President of the Republic considered the investment made opportune, not only in infrastructure, but also in human resources.
Valences
Inaugurated in November last year by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the Dom Alexandre do Nascimento Cardio-Pulmonary Diseases Hospital Complex has an inpatient capacity of 300 beds and serves many more patients, with and without tuberculosis, in the outpatient service. which includes an accident and emergency department, a physiotherapy area and a non-invasive diagnostic center.
The health unit also has four operating rooms and two rooms for bronchoscopy procedures, rooms for computed axial tomography, known as CAT, magnetic resonance imaging, radio fluoroscopy, X-ray, a main laboratory, and laboratories for catheterization and volumetric relaxation, specialized rooms for cardiopulmonary, angiography and nuclear medicine operations.
It has a sterilization service, pharmacy, morgue and has 538 health professionals, 25 of whom are doctors, 18 of whom are Angolan and seven Cubans, 215 nurses and 298 support staff.
