Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, attended, this Friday morning, the hoisting of the monument flag at the National Museum of Military History, in Luanda, in allusion to the 47th year of Independence.

In the act, in which the Head of State was accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, were also present the Vice-President, Esperança da Costa, members of the Executive, the diplomatic corps, deputies to the National Assembly, religious entities and other guests.

(…) Angolans and Angolans, as we celebrate today the 47 years of National Independence, let us reflect on the successes and failures of our past and embrace the present with determination for a more prosperous future for all, without distinction”, wrote the current Head of State, João Lourenço, on the Facebook account.

Angola celebrates, this Friday, 47 years since its independence, proclaimed in 1975, by the hailed first President António Agostinho Neto.
