Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, addressed a message to his Equatorial Guinean counterpart, Teodoro Obiang Nguema, delivered Friday (18) by the Angolan Foreign Minister, Téte António, in Malabo.

The content of the message was not revealed to the press, but it is presumed to be related to the good bilateral cooperation relations between Angola and Equatorial Guinea, according to a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The occasion was used by Téte António to convey to the Equatorial Guinean leader the satisfaction of President João Lourenço and his Executive in seeing Malabo host, in May, the Extraordinary Summit of the African Union on Terrorism and Coups d’état on the continent.

According to the minister, Equatorial Guinea is an important driver in the region and on the African continent and, at the same time, it is also an opportunity to exchange opinions with Obiang Nguema Mbasogo on regional issues, as Angola currently holds the Presidency of the CPLP

In this political-diplomatic activity, Téte António, who returned to the country yesterday at the end of the afternoon, was accompanied by António Luvualu, Angola’s ambassador in Malabo and his consultant Márcio Burity.
