Africa-Press – Angola. The Attorney General of the Republic, Hélder Pitta Gróz, received, this Thursday, the outgoing Portuguese ambassador to Angola, Pedro Pessoa e Costa, who went to the PGR to say goodbye, accompanied by the Counselor of that embassy, Carina Ferreira.

The courtesy visit carried out by the Portuguese diplomat is the result of the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between the two bodies, as well as those that they have maintained in the judicial sphere with the Portuguese authorities and linked to the training of magistrates and justice technicians, based on the protocols with PACED and the University of Coimbra.

The Portuguese diplomat learned about the degree of satisfaction of judicial relations with Portugal – promoted during his consulate, organized crime, cybercrime and digital evidence, letters rogatory sent to Portuguese authorities, European Union countries and Asia, as well as the volume of assets recovered, seized or seized and their destination.

Hélder Pitta Gróz reviewed the relations of judicial cooperation in criminal matters with the various States, within the legal framework of the international instruments to which Angola is a party and of international organizations such as the FATF, SADC, among others.

On the occasion, Pedro Pessoa e Costa received detailed explanations on the Recovery of Assets and on the Prevention and Fight against Corruption, which were provided by the directors of SENRA and DNPCC, Eduarda Rodrigues and Inocência Gonçalo Pinto, both Deputy Attorneys General of the Republic, respectively. .
