Africa-Press – Angola. The province of Huambo will showcase its main agro-industrial and mineral assets at the 5th edition of the Angolan Municipalities and Cities Fair (FMCA), taking place in the city of Benguela.
According to a source from the local Integrated Economic Development Office, the 17 municipalities in this region intend to take advantage of the event, which takes place from the 9th to the 11th of the current year, to attract national and foreign investors in the areas of agriculture, livestock, mining, logistics, and transportation.
The event also aims to highlight the region’s productive potential and promote the creation of strategic partnerships, with a focus on the processing of local raw materials and strengthening the business community.
To achieve this goal, the province plans to produce 1.5 milion tons of various products by 2027, such as corn, rice, wheat, beans and soybeans, as part of a plan to revitalize industry and strengthen food security.
