Africa-Press – Angola. The community of Catete, municipality of Icolo e Bengo, in Luanda, will have a photovoltaic park, to reinforce the supply of energy to the district.
The photovoltaic park, to be completed in the next three years, will consist of solar panels, with a large amount of energy.
The project was presented, on Friday, at the Agostinho Neto Cultural Center. The construction will be carried out in an area of 327 hectares, with a duration of 36 months. The work will create 500 direct jobs for young people in the municipality.
The construction of the park is promoted by the Ministry of Energy and Water, as part of the energy reinforcement of the district.
According to the municipal administrator, Humberta Paixão, the project will contribute to filling inadequacies in the distribution of energy to local communities.
On the occasion, the administrator thanked the authorities for having chosen the municipality for the implementation of the project.
