Africa-Press – Angola. The family of Graciete, a six-month-old child, who died as a result of a sexual violation, on February 25, in Paraíso, received financial support from the Instituto Nacional da Criança (INAC) to cover the expenses of the death.
The INAC team, led by its director-general, Paulo Kalesi, was made up, among others, by the municipal director of Social Action, Family and Women Promotion, Isabel Vesse Vesse, and by the head of the Institutional Communication and Press Office of the of Criminal Investigation (SIC) of Luanda, Fernando de Carvalho.
Paulo Kalesi, who was very moved by the situation that the child lived, to the point of not holding back tears, took the opportunity to advise mothers to be more vigilant, to avoid this type of actions.
Ilda Pascoal, grandmother of the deceased, thanked the government authorities for the gesture and asked that the offender be severely punished, under the terms of the current law.
“Thank you very much. I hope you continue with this type of gesture. It is true that we are very sorry, because it is not easy to face such a situation and, even, we are left without action, but we ask that justice be done according to the crime committed” , requested.
Ilda João, to whom the mother had entrusted the child’s guardianship, explained that the accused even threatened to kill her if she made any move when she entered the house.
“He arrived, entered through the window and fled, looking for help. When I returned, he asked me to take the child out of the place where he was lying and ran away. After all, the girl was already dead”, said.
In response, the alleged violator, identified by Domingos Matamba, who was already in court, denied the accusations against him and claimed that it was manipulation by the unsuccessful woman’s family.
“I didn’t do anything. I didn’t rape the child or take the 15,000 kwanzas, just as people are saying. a family dispute,” he said.
