Africa-Press – Angola. One hundred scholarships are available for Angolan citizens in Public Universities in Portugal, in the academic year 2023/2024, under the special access regime, in areas of study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
In this specific case, there will be four courses, namely Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, whose registration for access has been running since the 12th of this month, under the coordination of the National Institute for Management of Scholarships (INAGBE).
The information was provided this Wednesday by the Secretary of State for Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Eugénio Silva, having clarified that the process takes place within the scope of the Training Program in Study Areas, for countries of the Community of Portuguese Official Language (CPLP).
Applications, which run until the 24th of June, must be submitted via the website www.inagbe.gov.ao.
Candidates must have Angolan nationality, II cycle of Secondary Education completed in Angola, with a general and specific average in core subjects equal to or greater than 14, not be the beneficiary of another scholarship granted by INAGBE and be at most 22 years old.
Eugénio da Silva made it known that 983 candidates are already registered at national level.
According to the official, the strategy is in line with the Sectoral Development Plan and the Angola 2020/35 Development Plan, which aims to reinforce training in the above-mentioned areas, which are considered critical.
