Africa-Press – Angola. National independence, achieved on November 11, 1975, opened paths for the social and economic development of Angola, stated the governor of Cabinda province, Suzana de Abreu, on Saturday.
According to the governor, who was speaking at the provincial event anticipating the 50th anniversary of National Independence, to be celebrated next Tuesday, Angolans from Cabinda to Cunene must continue to preserve and maintain the achievements made over the past 50 years in all areas.
She added that the achievement of Independence marked the beginning of a new era for the Angolan people in political, economic, and social life.
Suzana de Abreu said that thanks to Independence and the achievement of effective peace, the country is now on the path to progress, with the construction of various social and economic infrastructures throughout the national territory.
In this regard, she highlighted the construction of the General Hospital, the Maritime Passenger Terminal, and the Cabinda Refinery.
He also spoke about the ongoing infrastructure projects, highlighting the Caio Deep Water Terminal, the Cabinda International Airport, and the level three General Hospital in the municipality of Buco-Zau.During the political event, 165 individuals were honored for their contributions to the development of the province of Cabinda and the country in general.
