Africa-Press – Angola. A group of Indonesian businesspeople recently expressed interest in visiting Angola to explore possible areas for investments of mutual interest.

According to a press release on Saturday, the intention was expressed during a working lunch organized by Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arief Havas, where he received Angola’s ambassador to Indonesia, Florêncio de Almeida.

The document states that the meeting aimed to bring closer and deepen relations between the Angolan diplomatic mission and local business leaders.

The Angolan diplomat spoke about multiple business opportunities, reaffirming the country’s government commitment to promote solid and sustainable economic partnerships.

According to Florêncio de Almeida, Angola has taken steady steps toward diversifying its economy, improving the business environment, and attracting foreign investment, with an emphasis on the mining, oil and gas, agriculture, fisheries, tourism, health, trade and industry, knowledge and technology transfer, and staff training sectors.

The diplomat said that intentions of this nature are welcome, as the country has open doors and attractive conditions for the establishment and development of strategic partnerships with Indonesian entrepreneurs.

Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister Arief Havas highlighted the importance of the event and said that a Business Forum is expected to take place in Jakarta or Luanda.
