Africa-Press – Angola. The match between the Interclube and Atlético Sport Aviação (ASA) teams, Friday, at 5 pm, at the 28 de Fevereiro pavilion, in Luanda, is the final poster for the first round of the senior men’s National Basketball Championship.
In second place in the league table, with 18 points, the “police” team appears as favorites, mainly due to the experienced squad competing in the competition.
The aviators, who were two-time national champions in 1996 and 1997, but who almost dropped out of the competition this season, occupy a modest ninth position, with 11 points.
Still on the same day, Friday, the teams from Petro de Luanda, holder of the title, will play against Clube Amigos do Basquetebol de Benguela.
The runner-up, 1o de Agosto, will receive, at the Victorino Cunha pavilion, in the country’s capital, Petro B, looking for a place in the top places. The second round starts on the 28th of this month.
On Wednesday, in the calendar adjustment, the first round, Petro de Luanda beat ASA, by 93-71.
