Africa-Press – Angola. Interclube won this Sunday, in Luanda, its team B, by 72-41, in the inaugural match of the first edition of the National Women’s Basketball League.
At halftime, the main team assigned to the Ministry of the Interior was already winning, by 26-19.
Cácia António do Interclube, with 13 points, was the top scorer, followed by her opponent, Mercina Fernandes, with one less.
For the first round of the competition, called “Liga Azule”, Labomba defeated Jesus Cristo Basketball, by 44-34, 1.o de Agosto beat 1.o de Agosto B, by 66-34 and Academia de Malanje lost to Maculusso, by 25-68.
On Thursday (the 16th), the second round will be played, with the following line-up
Núcleo de Benguela-1.o de Agosto (6 pm, at the Pavilhão Acácia Rubras)
Jesus Christ Basketball-Sport Lubango and Benfica (4 pm, Victorino Cunha)
Inter B-Labomba (4 pm, 28 February)
