Africa-Press – Angola. The leader of the National Front for the Liberation of Angola (FNLA), one of Angola’s liberation movements, Nimi-a-Nsimbi, says that the “internal enemies”, who “make the party’s dynamics unviable”, are “wasting time”, because its progress since the last congress is “unstoppable”.
“There are forces that still try to prevent us from achieving our objectives. We simply warn that they are wasting time, because our march is unstoppable,” the president of the FNLA told journalists on Monday, the 9th.
Nimi-a-Nsimbi recalled that since the last congress it has been a long road to consolidate the party’s position, and with each step taken they encounter “many difficulties”.
“It is clear that this slows down our progress towards the consolidation and robustness of the FNLA’s history,” Nimi-a-Nsimbi lamented, saying that the party has faced situations caused by acts of indiscipline by members.
In his opinion, the “constant incorrect attitudes” of some members represent “a great concern” on the part of the party leadership.
“It is up to the party’s higher bodies to reflect deeply on the situation, in order to find the necessary solutions”, he concluded.
The FNLA is a political movement founded in 1954. It was one of the Angolan nationalist movements during the anti-colonial war from 1961 to 1974.
In the 2022 elections, the party nominated Nimi-a-Simbi as head of the list and came in fourth, with 66,337 votes at the polls, registering 1.06%, winning two deputies.
