Africa-Press – Angola. JMPLA and the Mozambican Youth Organization (OJM) outline joint strategies to hold bilateral meetings aimed at boosting relations between the two party-political institutions.

The information was released on Monday, in Luanda, by the first national secretary of the JMPLA, Crispiniano dos Santos, in statements to the press at the end of a courtesy visit that the Mozambican Youth Organization made to the MPLA youth training headquarters. . OJM is the youth organization of Frelimo, the ruling party in Mozambique.

“We have two bilateral meetings between the two organizations in the pipeline for next year, with a view to analyzing the problems that afflict young Angolans and Mozambicans”, he said.

Crispiniano dos Santos explained that the concerns that afflict Angolan youths do not differ from those of Mozambican youth, which is why they will promote these bilateral meetings under the guidance of the leaders of the two youth organisations, which, he added, share the same statutes and ideologies.

“Our countries are rich in natural resources, which mother nature offers and we are the young people who must find solutions, through entrepreneurship, to mitigate the problems that afflict us”, he stressed.

Samuel Jotamo, the first national secretary of the OJM in the Matola Sede area, said that the Mozambican Youth Organization leaves the visit better informed about the functioning of the National Secretariat of the JMPLA, with whom it hopes to increase levels of cooperation, historical ties that unite the two youth organizations.

He also said that the visit made it possible to strengthen ties with JMPLA, a sister organization that shares the same ideals as OJM. “We identify with the MPLA and JMPLA, as we are youth movements from two parties that proclaimed the Independence of Angola (MPLA) and Mozambique (Frelimo)”, he said.

Samuel Jotamo stressed that the visit also served to congratulate the JMPLA on the victory of the MPLA in the General Elections of 24 August 2022.

The visit of the leader of the OJM to the national headquarters of the JMPLA, in Luanda, took place on the sidelines of the “Forum of Young People with the Embassies”, taking place next weekend, at the Memorial Dr. António Agostinho Neto, in an initiative of the Association of Specialists in International Relations.
