The first provincial secretary of JMPLA in Uíge, Faustino Nguange Simão, reaffirmed today, Friday, the youth organization’s commitment to continuing to hold several meetings, to publicize the 4th of February, the date of the beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation.
Speaking at the opening act of the lecture on Testimony of former combatants and veterans of the country”, Faustino Nguage Simão said that, thanks to the liberation struggle, Angola became independent on November 11, 1975.
Faustino Nguage Simão pointed out that the JMPLA provincial secretary will also continue to encourage young people to learn about actions aimed at preserving the events of February 4, 1961.
The first provincial secretary of JMPLA also called on society to continue demonstrating actions that aim to preserve patriotic values.
And, in turn, the second secretary of the MPLA in UÍge, Pedro Augusto Conga, recognized the bravery of the heroes in the Armed Struggle for National Liberation.
The meeting, which was attended by former combatants and veterans of the country and young people from various social strata, took place with the motto “Preserving the values of the country, let us honor our heroes”.
