Africa-Press – Angola. I am sure of one thing: today’s adults were children yesterday, and all children dream, prepare themselves in their youth, and persist in their achievements in adulthood… “Dreams are fuel for the soul”
We also have our sources of Angolan inspiration. It’s a shame that the stories of Angolan winners are confused with their political trajectory!
Beating an opponent is the easiest thing you can do, but beating yourself is not.
When we speak of achievements, we are not speaking of material things. But of ourselves. Positions, statuses, titles and material goods are consequences.
When one day we tell the story of our winners in isolation, we will not need the stories of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Napoleon Bonaparte, among others, to inspire us to win, because we have the stories of our Angolan winners all around us.
What I admire in a person is not what they have; but what they idealized and did to have it. Even if the context was not favorable! And, by the way, it is in unfavorable contexts that we identify the winners.
I am talking about President João Lourenço as a person, because I consider him a winner. I am not talking about what the presidency gives him, but about the realization of his dream of being president.
This is what I am talking about, which will never be forgotten by me, like so many other stories of anonymous Angolan winners, which for me, the dimension that inspires was overshadowed by the heroism of the fight for the greatest achievement of the Angolan people, independence!
I would like to one day be able to hear the story of President João Lourenço, told by him, not from a political perspective, but from the struggles he had with himself, day after day, to make his dream come true, which for many, in an African country, in the context in which we lived, was impossible to achieve, the proof of achievement is there!
I think it is time to tell the story of each Angolan winner, without any political ties. In order to inspire all Angolan children and young people who dream…
Maybe someone might say that I’m too young to talk about this, yes, I am.
Under the guidance of my father Tomás Alberto “in memory”, he recommended that I hang out with the elders. That is why I had the privilege of drinking from the source of living water, from those who participated in the first person of all these events…
By fulfilling my father’s recommendation, I later became friends with my uncle Horácio Cumandala “in memory”, who among other stories, told me about the determination of the elders of his time, among them old Serqueira (Father of President João Lourenço) Gorge Valentim, among others… who through everything they went through, inspired their children to dream…
He told me about the town of Teixeira de Sousa, the Elende mission, among others, at the time of the events he was a CFB train driver.
When I talk about the figure of João Lourenço, as the last winner to stand out, and a true source of inspiration, I do not associate it with the political aspect, because I am not a politician, but a Coach and businessman, so I present here, João Lourenço, an Angolan winner, and a source of inspiration for those who dream of winning!
Personally, I don’t need to hear Western stories to know who is the winner, and to be inspired, because we have our winners here in Angola.
