According to João Lourenço, who was speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the military leaders, it is in peacetime that the best conditions exist for any State to prepare and prevent.

“It is in peace that we must seek to develop and strengthen our armed forces”, defended the Commander-in-Chief of the FAA, for whom the movement of military leaders and commands is a necessary process.

In this way, he defended that the concern for national security should not only be in wartime, but also in an era of peace.
