Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received this Tuesday, congratulations from the members of his cabinet for the victory in the fifth General Elections of 24 August.
The moment of jubilation for the reelection of the President for his second term took place in the Main Hall of the Presidential Palace, in Cidade Alta, with the participation of the ministers of State (Civil House, Military House, Economic Coordination and Social Area) and the secretaries for the different areas, as well as the Director of the Office of the Head of State.
João Lourenço was re-elected President of the Republic, being the candidate with the most votes in the General Elections of 24 August, with 3,209,429 votes.
With the victory, the MPLA elected 124 deputies.
