Africa-Press – Angola. The Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSMJ) will proceed, on Tuesday, with the delivery of laptops to judges, in full exercise of their functions, placed in the 39 district courts of the country.According to a note from the CSMJ, the first batch, with a total of 119 computers, will be delivered to the Belas District Court in Luanda.
According to the document, a total of 661 judges will benefit, 370 of whom are men and 291 are women, distributed across the country’s five judicial regions.
“The distribution of laptops to judges aims to provide judicial magistrates with work tools that promote efficiency in the processing of cases,” the note adds.
According to the CSMJ, the process of delivering the computers to judicial magistrates also aims to boost the digitalization of the courts and speed up cases.
The act will be witnessed by the accompanying member of the CSMJ for the judicial province of Luanda, Daniel Geraldes, and will also be attended by the executive secretary of the CSMJ, Manuel Assuilo, among other magistrates.
