Kimbanquista Church salutes Angolans for preserving peace

Africa-Press – Angola. The legal representative of the Kimbanguista Church in Angola, Kisolokele Paul, said this Tuesday, in Luanda, that there is no parallel between the period of peace and the time of war in the country, saluting the Angolan people for this heroic feat.

Angola celebrates Thursday the 22nd anniversary of Peace and National Reconciliation, which is marked under the motto “April 4th, together for the country’s inclusive growth”.

According to the religious man, on TPA’s Grande Entrevista program, for this reason the current context must be one of unity for what has been achieved to date.

For Kisolokele Paul, Angola’s situation is better than that of many African countries with internal conflicts, highlighting the need for Angolans to preserve and consolidate peace on a daily basis.

When addressing the topic “the role of the church in social pacification”, he explained that peace is an indispensable gain for the existence of human beings and without it there is no development or life.

“Peace is much more than the silence of weapons, it is a culture that everyone must practice wherever they are, at home, on the street, at work, everywhere”, he highlighted.

This, he recalled, is the purpose of churches that proclaim daily the need to sow peace inside and outside, based on the Scriptures that say “blessed are those who sow peace, for they will be called children of God”.

He said that not only religious people, but everyone, instill in their neighbors the importance of the culture of peace, as it is a “divine gift” to be preserved.

He confided that in the Kimbanquista Church, with more than a million believers in Angola, each believer is a soldier of peace with the mission of fighting for the maintenance and preservation of this asset.

On the other hand, the leader of the Kimbanguista Church in Angola reiterated the church’s commitment and involvement in raising awareness and mobilizing for the culture of peace, as well as increasing partnerships with the State in sectors such as Education and Health.

The Church of Jesus Christ on Earth (Igreja Kimbanguista) was founded in 1921, by Simon Kimbangu, in the current Democratic Republic of Congo, is established in 38 countries and has more than 27 million believers. In Angola, the church has more than 50 parishes spread across 18 provinces.
