Africa-Press – Angola. On Saturday, writer Igor de Jesus launched the literary work “Sentires” at Palácio de Ferro, in Luanda, and presented the results of the homonymous project, in a ceremony attended by family, friends and campaign participants, who shared moments of art and life experience.

At the ceremony, Igor de Jesus explained the concept of the “Sentires” project, based on the campaign to raise funds for the publication of the book, whose sales proceeds will be used to defray the expenses of his medical treatment abroad.

Despite not reaching the predicted goal, the writer thanked all the people who embraced the cause. “Thank you for your presence at the Sentires Meeting – We did it!. We wanted to share Sentires. I hope we have achieved the least, in your perception”. poems from the book were recited in the voices of his wife Ana Júlia, and their children Miguel Manuel and Isi Bumba.Music was also present with Alexandre Joel, who opened and closed the activity, and other voices.

The poetic work “Sentires”, according to the editors, intends to be a provocation to the readers to reconcile with themselves, regarding their sensitive dimension on the ecosystem in which they are inserted. It is, therefore, an attempt to share the feelings of the author in its most varied dimensions, individual, social and spiritual.

Before the official presentation, the author offered the book to some schools and public libraries and to the medical staff that assists it.

The “Projecto Sentires” emerged to gather resources to finance the treatment of a neurological disease diagnosed in 2019 to Igor de Jesus. The doctors advised an evacuation abroad. of creativity proven with the book “Sentires”.

Igor de Jesus, 33 years old, has been writing literary texts since 2003 and has published the works “Some steps…A walk…” in 2010 and “Viagens à Liberatura: poetics of the sleepy generation for the dawn”, in a partnership with the friends Shafu Duchaque and Nazário Muhongo, from 2017. The author, as a poet, seeks inspiration in social problems.
