Africa-Press – Angola. The writer Lopito Feijóo launches, today, at 5:30 pm, in the Portuguese city of Póvoa de Varzim, his latest book entitled “Desejos & Doctrinárias Marintimidades”.

Prefaced by the professor at the Faculty of Arts of Lisbon, the Portuguese-Mozambican essayist and poet Ana Mafalda Leite, the book has 110 pages of poetry and is part of the collection “A Água e a Sede” by Modocromia Editora, which in the first edition has 750 copies available. for the Portuguese book market.

According to the prefacer, “Lopito Feijóo’s book as a whole does not focus on past cases, but precisely on the disciplined imagination of the loving and carnal cause, of the physical-emotional experience, reconfigured into almost mathematical propositions or poetic artefacts, placing the subject is seen as an observer, who often ironically or even sarcastically de(constructs)”.

Ana Mafalda Leite adds that: “Interestingly, the liturgy or ritual are also evoked in her doctrine by titles that keep the nature of devotion, marked by the religious lexicon, and simultaneously unmarked by the irony that the adjective deconstructs…”

“Desejos & Doutriárias Marintimidades”, is divided into two sequential parts and, with this book, the author returns to the theme of love already touched upon and retouched in “Letters of Love” and in “Desejos de Aminata”, retaken here. one more book of poetry of “deep and adult love” in honor of women with desires,

sensibilities and real existence. A tribute with a great love, erotic and not infrequently sexualized charge, extolling the “best and greatest women”, resorting, through the suggested touches on the body, to the biological and hormonal side of subjects with the carnal desires of humans, among which stands out the African woman always in the center of attention, for her intrinsic beauty, a fighter and suffering condition, but owner of a great power of seduction and sexual attraction…

According to the author, the same book that had already been presented in virtual format, in Lisbon, by the Portuguese-Angolan writer, Luísa Frestas, will now be presented in person at the 23rd Correntes D’Escritas festival that takes place annually in that locality of Portugal and will be presented on the occasion by the Portuguese writer Aurelino Costa, who is also a reference figure in Portuguese-speaking literature.

The author, João André da Silva Feijó, with his full name, was born in Malanje. He studied Law in Luanda, at Universidade Agostinho Neto (UAN) and is a (retired) deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Angola.
