Luanda Government Decrees a Day off on Friday Afternoon

Africa-Press – Angola. The Luanda Provincial Government (GPL) has decreed a day off, starting at 12:00 pm on Friday, in recognition of the commitment and dedication of the workers who actively participated in the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of National Independence.

In a press release, the GPL states that the decision follows the central event of the National Independence celebrations, which took place in the country’s capital last Tuesday, and which saw the broad participation of workers from the public and private sectors, both in the civic parade and in the multiple associated organizational tasks.

It underlines that shift work activities are excluded from this measure, and in these cases, the normal functioning of the respective essential services must be ensured.

The GPL recognizes the commitment, dedication and increased effort of the teams involved in the celebrations, whose execution of the programmed activities continues even in this post-event phase, thus justifying the adoption of this measure, reads the statement.
