Africa-Press – Angola. A National Artificial Intelligence Forum (FNIA25) will be held on July 14 in Luanda to debate the digital transition in public administration and the impact of generative AI on business.
The information was released to the press Wednesday by the Coordinator of the First Artificial Intelligence Forum, Estevão Nzinga.
He emphasized that the event would address issues such as ethical and regulatory challenges, as well as the integration of technologies (cloud computing and big data).
Nzinga added that the event was designed to promote a National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, foster the ethical, inclusive and strategic use of AI, as well as stimulate investment in emerging technologies.
The aim is also to strengthen the national digital ecosystem by liaising between the state, companies, academia and civil society.
“Angola is at a digital inflection point. The growth of connectivity, the advance of digital infrastructures and access to large volumes of data place us in a strategic position to adopt AI ethically and effectively. FNIA25 is a platform that projects Angola as a digital protagonist in Africa,” he said.
He said that the event is expected to have more than 300 participants and more than 30 national and international speakers of recognized merit, from the public, private and academic sectors.
FNIA25 is an initiative promoted by the Business & Innovation Forum, with institutional support from the Institute for Administrative Modernization (IMA), the Data Protection Agency (APD) and the National Institute for Supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
