Africa-Press – Angola. Luanda will host the National Conference on Human Capital on the 29th and 30th of this month. The opening ceremony will be presided over by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the event’s spokesperson, Bangula Katumua, announced today, Wednesday.
According to the official, the conference aims to bring together academics, professionals, and students from across the country, as well as representatives of the diaspora, to reflect on the state of Angolan human capital.
The meeting will also analyze the policies implemented over the past 50 years since National Independence and outline strategies to address current challenges.
With 12 thematic panels and a total of 36 topics for discussion, the conference will cover topics ranging from primary education to postgraduate training, including technical-professional and higher education.
“We want to discuss the vitality of our education, the role of scientific research, academic production, and the challenges posed by artificial intelligence and the information society,” emphasized Bangula Katumua.
Among the participants will be national and international experts, including representatives from Mozambique, Portugal, and South Africa, who will share experiences on human capital development policies.
The organization anticipates the participation of approximately two thousand people, including faculty, researchers, students, and members of professional associations.
The spokesperson also emphasized that the meeting will be broadcast online, allowing for remote participation, and assured that conditions have already been created to welcome delegations from various provinces across the country.
“We want to transform these two days into a true feast of knowledge, a moment to celebrate academia and science in Angola,” he stated.
