The MPLA vice-president, Luísa Damião, received, Wednesday (26), the King of Ndongo, Ngola Kiluanji Kia-Samba, with whom she exchanged impressions about life in the Kingdom and guaranteed support to adapt the social framework, taking into account counts the construction of more schools, hospitals and intercity roads in the province of Malanje.
Speaking to the press, at the end of the 30-minute meeting, the sovereign Ngola Kiluanji Kia-Samba said that he asked for the influence of the MPLA to reinforce ongoing actions such as the rehabilitation of roads, especially those that give access to the municipalities of the Marimba, Kunda Dia Base and Cahombo, at a time when the rains are already falling in the region.
The issue of employability in the province of Malanje was also addressed at the meeting. King Ngola Kiluanje Kia-Samba asked the MPLA vice president to intervene with the Executive in favor of building a centrality in the city of Malanje to accommodate young people.
Malanje, he said, in order to justify more support for agriculture, has very rich land, which should be better used to reduce the importation of products from the countryside. He added, by the way, that the soils of the municipalities of Cahombo, Marimba, Quela, in addition to agricultural quality, have excessive mineral reserves.
“We have everything in Malanje”, he stressed, stressing that with greater action on the part of the Government, the lives of the populations can be made easier. The ruler of Ndongo wants an intervention to be carried out at the tombs of King Ngola Kiluanje and Queen Nzinga Mbandi, in the municipality of Marimba.
He requested, in this way, the construction of a memorial that dignifies the figure of both King Ngola Kiluanje and Queen Nzinga Mbandi.
Collaboration of churches
In another audience, the MPLA vice president discussed with Reverend Luís Nguimbi the best way for churches to collaborate with the Executive, in the next five years, to fight diseases such as malaria.
Luís Nguimbi said he assured the MPLA vice president of the readiness of the churches to work with government officials, with a view to improving basic sanitation. In this regard, he said, the church is also available to collaborate in actions to strengthen agricultural practice.
The also member of the Council of the Republic, Reverend Luís Nguimbi, appealed for closer cooperation between the churches and the Government in the field of Education.
