Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA vice-president, Luísa Damião, urged Angolan society to respect the Zungueira woman, given the importance of the activity for families and the country’s economy.
Speaking during the “Zungueira Women’s Forum”, on Tuesday, at Cine Atlântico, in Luanda, Luísa Damião addressed the hundreds of female entrepreneurs to whom she requested greater respect, like the others, for having dreams, families and be mothers and sisters.
According to the MPLA vice-president, the zungueira must be respected and valued, as there are studies that prove the importance of its activity for families and the country’s economy.
Luísa Damião took the opportunity to encourage all those dedicated to this activity to continue with their work, focusing on creativity and the formalization of the business.
During the intervention, he also assured that the Angolan Executive, led by President João Lourenço, is doing everything to continue to lower the price of basic food products, as well as the improvement in medical and drug assistance.
He urged the OMA to become a spokesperson for women’s causes and, above all, for women zungueira, for which he considered it necessary to reinforce the mechanisms of their protection with an SOS program, so that where there is a need for protection, the women’s organization of the MPLA is present.
