Africa-Press – Angola. Twelve years later, the province of Lunda Norte holds the provincial football championship, with ten teams representing the municipalities of Chitato, Cuango, Lucapa and Lóvua. The race was suspended due to lack of sponsorship and fields with minimum conditions.

The championship, which opened last weekend, will be played in the all-against-all system, over 18 rounds. Eight bare fields are available to host the games, which will be ensured by ten referees. The APF president in Lunda Norte, Ernesto Lotina, said that the event is scheduled to end in March 2023.

Without advancing the prize of the winner of the tournament, the manager said that the minimum conditions were created for the competition to run smoothly. Desportivo Casa-Helu is the current holder of the title won in 2008.

This season, the teams of Sagrada Esperança B, Jovens Unidos do Caxinde, FC do Chitato, Estrelas do Lucapa, Casa Mãe do Lucapa, Académica do Lóvua, Have to Return do Cuango, Desportivo do Kimbo, Desportivo da Centralidade and FC Malick.
