Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the District Court of Menongue, in Cuando Cubango, Jones Paulo, reiterated this Friday, in Manongue, the need to invest seriously in training staff, to better administer justice to citizens with quality .
Jones Paulo expressed this commitment in the act that marked the end of the advanced course on legal costs, promoted by the judicial province of Cuando Cubango, lasting 20 days, in which 43 staff from different bodies participated.
The presiding judge of the Menongue District Court stated that, in order to fulfill this aim, the institution carried out this third training cycle, with the second taking place in 2022, on civil and criminal procedural practice, the deontological agenda of the public service and the ethics of officials of justice.
“The court does not simply need staff, but competent human capital, with knowledge and capabilities to transform this knowledge into positive results, which are of interest to the State and society”, he defended.
He recalled that the staff were continuously equipped with tools that make them noble, upright, audacious employees ready to continue to carry out their duties with greater capacity, for whom the matters managed are crucial for maintaining the quality of work of their institutions.
On the occasion, the course trainer, retired judge Graça Chipepe, exhorted the trainees, including representatives of the Attorney General’s Office, the Angolan Bar Association (OAA), the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) and the Criminal Offenses (DIIP), who perform their functions with greater accuracy and responsibility, aiming at the proper administration of justice.
He recalled that the participants are the main actors in the administration of justice, and therefore, from now on, they must respond to all requests with responsibility, impartiality and care for the public that demands their services.
During 20 days, the trainees were trained in the study of civil and administrative costs, criminal costs, rules for preparing the account, settlement of costs, methods of paying the account, among others.
