Africa-Press – Angola. The water supply to the city of Malanje will be restricted from today until Wednesday (7), due to the shutdown of the Cuije Treatment Plant for maintenance work on electromechanical equipment.
The information was provided today, Tuesday, by the administrator for the technical area of the Malanje Water and Sanitation Company (EASM), André Piedade, adding that the work aims to improve the supply of liquid in the host municipality.
He stressed that with the stoppage of the Cuije Station, which has a capacity of 720 cubic meters/hour, only the Guinea system will be operational, which pumps 575 cubic meters/hour, insufficient to cover the city of Malanje uninterruptedly.
Therefore, the city center and peripheral neighborhoods will be supplied intermittently while the work continues.
It should be remembered that EASM currently controls 15 thousand customers in the city of Malanje.
