Africa-Press – Angola. The candidate for President of the Republic by CASA-CE, Manuel Fernandes, returned, Wednesday, in Lubango, to promise reforms in the legislation on land.
Speaking at a political rally in Lubango’s largest informal market, Manuel Fernandes said that, if CASA-CE wins the elections, “the land will no longer be the original property of the State and will belong to the people”.
Manuel Fernandes also promised to fight the high levels of poverty and hunger among Angolan families, with emphasis on the South region, by investing in agriculture, livestock and access to basic social services, such as water, energy, health, housing. and others.
Addressing the electorate, mostly young, the politician promised to promote equal pay in the different sectors of the public foundation, especially for the staff of the Ministry of the Interior. “Police officers must earn well. Currently, our police officers earn poorly. We cannot have staff from the same Ministry with salary disparities. We are going to standardize the salary of all the organs of the Interior”, guaranteed Manuel Fernandes.
The president of CASA-CE is against candidates who present themselves in the electoral campaign with impassioned speeches, when the country has lived in a climate of peace since 2002. “Many citizens are leaving the country at this stage of the campaign because of impassioned speeches by some candidates”, denounced Manuel Fernandes, urging no one to be afraid.
